Donostia- San Sebastián is the city in the world with the most Michelin stars per inhabitant. The cult of cooking with care can also be enjoyed with the famous “pintxos”. Going for pintxos in Donostia is a way to get to know Basque and San Sebastian gastronomy. Sider, txakoli or a good red wine will be the perfect drinks to accompany the meal.

-Plans with good weather:

Visit the city by bike:

Walks along the seashore or dips depending on the time of year. Our pension is located between the beaches of La Concha and La Zurriola, in the heart of the old town.

In the absence of one, San Sebastián has three beaches:

La Concha located 10 minutes walk from the pension.

La Zurriola located 10 minutes walk from the pension. This beach is the one that can be seen from the room balconies.

Ondarreta located 30 minutes walk from the pension.

If your choice is La Concha beach, we recommend that you first visit the tides since when there is high tide the sand disappears.

Urgull mountain

More info
Mount Urgull, located in the old part, right in front of the pension, is the most important historical heritage of the city.

At the top of the mountain we can find a small castle (Castillo de la Mota) with its fortifications and cannons. We can find walls from the 12th century. Also at the top is a free museum on the history of San Sebastián and the Basque Country, where you can learn more about Basque culture.

Going down a few stairs you can enjoy the “El Polvorín” terrace, a bar where they even offer live music with incredible views of La Concha Bay.
